Job Summary
Our client is a charitable organization dealing with children living with HIV/AIDS and orphans and vulnerable children. It has 3 major children’s programs, namely Nyumbani Children’s Home in Karen, Lea Toto Community-based program in Nairobi low income communities and Nyumbani Village in Kitui. This particular vacancy is in the Lea Toto program, Nairobi.
Responsibilities
- Overall technical oversight of the project
- Project implementation that relates to facility and community level service delivery
- Take leadership role in ensuring technical implementation of high impact, proven interventions and ensure the project meets stated goals and requirements.
- In the absence of Chief of Party (COP), s/he will assume the role COP.
- Coordinate among USAID and key stakeholders and other implementing partners
- Interact with GOK institution and representatives at the county level.
Qualifications and skills
- Graduate degree in medical field, public health or related field
- Be knowledge about current implementation science and state-of-the-art service delivery approaches.
- 6 years experience in development, managing, overseeing or evaluating complex technical service delivery programs of similar scope and size.
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience and skills in partnership building especially with the GOK or donors, the private sector, NGO and local community organizations
- At least 5 years experience in program management and administration, financial management, awards compliance and sub award management and the tracking activity performance and costs
- Demonstrate strong management and communication skills, strategic vision, leadership qualities and professional reputation
- Good command of English language
Job Requirements Required education: Bachelor’s degree
Required relevant work experience: 5 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
