Description
The International Monetary Fund is looking to hire a Staff Assistant/Administrative Assistant to work in the Western Hemisphere Department.
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Division Chief and Deputy Division Chiefs of Caribbean III Division and is expected to provide a wide-range of office duties and assistance to the divisional staff as directed. He/she will be responsible for managing the workflow of the division and for ensuring the quality and timeliness of its output. The position requires initiative, sound judgment, excellent organizational and communication skills, and knowledge and experience with the Fund’s administrative procedures, practices and policies.
Qualifications
The selected candidate should have strong technical skills, including excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, DM5, PowerPoint, and database techniques, a proven track record in assembling and finalizing memoranda and Board documents, and an ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently and with multiple county teams. The selected candidate must be flexible with regard to working hours and be available for overtime (sometimes at short notice). He/She should also be a team player as he/she may need to provide support to Carribean I and II Divisions, as needed.
Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of four years of relevant experience, is required.
