Wanted: An administrative ace with a passion for marketing! We need you to help ensure the smooth running of our busy, friendly team of 14. We tell the stories of Save the Children, and we use creative and digital solutions to do so. To help us deliver this service to our organisation, we need someone with an eye for detail and great time-management skills who can help us with the vital processes of taking and processing briefs for new jobs, and managing workflows within each team. You’ll be pivotal in helping us meet deadlines, deliver objectives, and reach more children and families.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We’re ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children’s rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there’s a disaster – like an earthquake, drought or conflict – we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:

In this part-time fixed term position, working three days a week until May 2021, you’ll make a huge contribution to the smooth running of the Marketing team, providing administrative support and ensuring efficiency. You’ll be an integral part of the team, reporting to the Head of Marketing, and with day-to-day interactions across all of Marketing (including digital, events, and creative services) as well as with our varied stakeholders. This role is home-based during COVID-19 restrictions, but ordinarily based in our vibrant head office in Carlton.

You will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring our project management software is an accurate reflection of the status of current projects and tasks
  • Liaising with clients to take briefs and input their requirements into our systems
  • Liaising with the team to support them with their workloads where possible, and help determine job priorities
  • Processing and tracking the team’s invoices in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the Digital team’s administrative e-mail mailboxes
  • Continuously improving processes, templates, and systems to support effective delivery of projects

Does this sound like you?

You’re a team player with a can-do, creative, and strategic mindset. You love to think outside the box and take initiative, with a willingness to take on a wide variety of work. You have a passion for marketing and potentially want to upskill into a specialist area. Your existing marketing skills and experience could see you come in and hit the ground running. You’ll enjoy working in a collaborative environment with a team of specialists who provide services to the entire organisation.

This role requires:

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Mac OS, and Google Docs
  • Well-developed customer service focus (both internal and external stakeholders)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong prioritisation, time management, and organisational skills
  • A strong ability in managing a diverse and busy workflow

In addition to a connection to social causes, you will have access to:

  • Friendly and flexible work environment
  • Internal employment and development opportunities
  • Opportunity to work on additional projects alongside business as usual
  • Competitive salary + super
  • Full salary packaging benefits
