Save the Children Clinical Mentor in 110 views


Save the Children invites applications for the Clinical Mentor position for a project named Strengthening National Midwifery Program (SNMP) which will support to improve quality of evidence based midwifery care in selected public health facilities in below mentioned District of Bangladesh. Only female candidates are invited to apply. 

The role 

The Clinical Mentor will be responsible for strengthen evidence-based routine obstetric and new-born care practices at Medical Colleges and District Hospitals that currently function as primary clinical education sites for student midwives with collaboration with respective Nursing Institute or Colleges. They also introduce midwife-led care including routine obstetric and new-born care and initial stabilization of emergencies at targeted Upazila Health Complexes prior to referral. Has to coordinate with facility mangers, clinicians and other stake holders for establishing midwifery led care model at upazila health complexes. 

Qualifications and experience

  • MBBS Degree is required

  • Preferably 2-3 years’ experience is required and experience in OBGYN is preferred

  • Working experience in Govt. set up will be an advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skill both in English & Bangla, 

  • Ability to work under pressure and within a team, along with ability to motivate people

  • Willingness to travel to the assigned districts/upazilas

  • Proficiency in MS Office 

Contract length: Up to December, 2020 with possibility of further extension
