The opportunity

The purpose of this role is to build better programs and partnerships that advances the rights of the child and gender equality in the implementation of the EU Education project in North West Nigeria (Sokoto, Kano, and Jigawa). The role therefore will focus on promoting and building effective and fruitful partnership with other groups and organizations – children groups, girls’ groups, adolescent groups, community groups, civil society organizations, government, institutions, the private sector, and others.

The role will also focus in providing strong all-round technical support to the program team; support in the development of new program areas, resource mobilization, and support policy work. The post holder will be supervised by the Consortium Team Lead/ Education Advisor and expected to work very closely with other members of the program team and the Programme and Partnership Manager.

About You

We are looking for applicant with University degree in any Social Studies discipline, preferably with a post-graduate (master’s or higher) degree in a Development Studies, specializing in a development – related discipline. The candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience working in the sector, including field and management experience. An advanced experience in partnership development and utilising partnership methodologies in communities will be a plus. S/he should possess a history of productive involvement with local partners and diverse stakeholders including; government, traditional leadership, and civil society.
