Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Nursing College, School of Nursing, or Nursing Institute.
• Good or acceptable experience in pediatric nutrition.
• Good or acceptable experience in managing cases of acute malnutrition in children.
• One year of experience in pediatric and emergency departments.
• Good experience in managing malnutrition without complications.
• Good knowledge of nursing principles and related sciences.
• Good experience in managing acute and moderate malnutrition.
• Experience in monitoring cases of malnutrition.
• Knowledge of how to administer nutritional supplements.
• Knowledge of the materials used and their sterilization methods.
• Knowledge of the dosages and administration methods of essential pediatric medications.
• Good knowledge of the types of malnutrition and their classification.
• Good knowledge of the signs of malnutrition in children.
• Acceptable knowledge of basic malnutrition management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Admitting patients to the nutrition department and verifying all required information.
• Preparing necessary nutritional supplies.
• Distributing nutritional supplies to eligible patients.
• Preparing medications and intravenous fluids as required by the patient.
• Evaluating and monitoring the use of nutritional supplies.
• Monitoring patients’ vital signs throughout their admission and care period.
• Performing routine maintenance and upkeep of department equipment.
• Attending training courses as determined by the medical administration.
• Adhering to safety and infection control protocols during work.
• Performing the handover and receiving procedures at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Performing any other duties assigned within the scope of their responsibilities.
