Logistics Supervisor – MONGUNO, BORNO STATE
Main Purpose
- He/she shall be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of all components of Logistics & Supply at the project level under the direct supervision of Project Logistics Manager. Will ensure logistics support on a daily basis required for project activities related to supplies, fleet management & other related needs of program department. Personally responsible for the availability of the vehicles by planning and assigning drivers according to needs and fills out the vehicle movement board.
Essential Functions
- Assist and advise the logistics manager and other senior managers within the organization on logistics procedures in order to support the projects in the timeliest and cost efficient way.
- He/she ensure proper stock management of all consumables (medical & no-medical) by supervising the storekeeper to avoid out of stock situations for different supplies.
- He/she working closely with logistic supervisor (technical/mechanical) for all repairs and maintenance requests to be timely process to ensure ALIMA premises (Base national & expatriates, clinics in camps, MCH, General hospital) and are in functional status in term of utilities, water sanitations & other issues related to maintenance requirements.
- He/she monitor maintenance activities of infrastructures, management of non-medical stocks and equipment including Fire Extinguishers according to ALIMA standards.
- He/she maintain a close Relationship with all departments to ensure operations are running smooth and communication is effective and efficient at all levels.
- He/she is responsible for the compilation and production of the site monthly operations / logistics report.
- He/she assist Logistic manager in ALIMA property management by ensuring assets list is regularly updated & tagged with every new piece of asset to project.
- He/she is responsible for the renewal and achieving of all contracts/lease agreements for assets and service providers.
- He/she assist Logistic Manager in ensure all procurement documentation as per ALIMA Standards & Proper archiving is done for each project.
- He/she assist logistics manager in security management in all ALIMA premises by strictly implementing ALIMA access control policy, by supervising watchman during in the performance of their jobs on daily basis.
- He/she assist Logistic management in monitoring of security situation of the project area by collecting security information and local networking of different stakeholder related to security.
- He/she supervise all the staff (Storekeeper and Watchmen) under his supervision according to ALIMA HR policy includes setting up their objectives, performance evaluations, leave management, technically supporting them in their job.
- He/she making of monthly roaster for all watchman and drivers on monthly basis and arranging back up of a watchman in case watchman is not available.
- He/she ensure timely payment of all suppliers/vendors and service providers with correct documentation as per ALIMA financial and procurement standards.
- He/she to translate meeting conversation in local language in case of need.
- He/she to undertake any other duties, relevant to his/her skills, which may from time to time be deemed necessary.

- Educational Requirement: – Graduation in Business Administrations, engineering or Related field.
- Experience: – Past experience in the similar role for 2 years with INGO/NGO.
- Languages: – Good English language skill (Reading, Writing & Speaking)
- Computer Skill: – Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
- Competencies: – Capacity to work under stress, flexible, Good team player, high level of integrity & Honesty
CONDITIONS
Contract term: 6 months’ renewable.
