    • Assist in implementation of Country Office Security & emergency Plans
    • Assist in maintaining Security Risk Management Measures/Residential Security Measures  Compliance
    • Assist in implementing UNDP events, workshops…etc. 
    • Assist in coordinating with local security services/forces and contracted security companies
    • Share security Information as requested by COSA  
    • Assist in the delivery of security Training / Briefings
    • Other Tasks & Activities as related to security issues 
    • Provide assistance to the CO in the implementation of the Country Security Plan, Contingency Plans and the UN Security Framework, including ensuring that all UNDP personnel are covered by relevant Security Plans; 
    • In conjunction with the HR, Procurement (for ICs) and United Nations Volunteers  Units, ensure Staff Lists are maintained and regularly provided to United Nations Department of Security and Safety (UNDSS)  including details of external visitors, visiting missions and consultants. 
    • Maintain Entrance/Exit Check Lists; 
    • Asist COSA in administering and testing the UNDP CO Warden Plan;  
    • Facilitate security clearances for staff in all UNDP presences in country, as needed; 
    • Assist COSA in the implementation of adequate emergency plans and procedures for responding to emergencies involving UNDP staff in all project locations/offices;
    • Be prepared for 24-hour response to all security and safety related incidents involving UNDP staff, ensuring coordination with UNDSS  where required.
    • Assist COSA to ensure that UNDP personnel, offices, residences and equipment are SRMM/RSM compliant;
    • Assist COSA to ensure that all staff members posted to UNDP have completed required security related courses such as the BSAFE and that records of certificates are maintained with the HR Unit;  
    • Assist COSA to conduct periodic security assessments of UNDP premises and equipment and provides advice on shortfalls in security preparedness with recommended improvements and solutions as and when required
    • Assist COSA in implementing office security measures and procedures (access control of visitors and vehicles) for all UNDP offices and facilities (including project offices)
    • Under the guidance of COSA ensure appropriate professional liaison with host government agencies and local authorities, counterparts in UN and diplomatic missions, and municipal/traditional leaders, in coordination with UNDSS as required
    • Conduct Field visit to support UNDP colleagues in the field
    • Act as event security focal point for UNDP events conducted in non-UN premises

    • Demonstrates in-depth understanding and knowledge of the current security guidelines and tools and utilizes these regularly in work assignments.
    • Completion of High School Education;
    • A University degree is preferable but not mandatory.
    • At least two years of experience in a security support function in international or government organizations;
    • Fluency in Arabic and intermediate knowledge of English is essential.  
    • Knowledge of HF and VHF radio operation;
    • Knowledge of host country safety codes;
    • Solid computer skills (MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to travel
    • Physically Fit
