Position Summary

Search is seeking an intern to provide support to the HQ Human Resources Department. SFCG is seeking interns on a rolling basis (with immediate openings) to learn about Human Resources in a practical environment as a supplement to their studies. Interns will be involved in supporting an active, internationally-focused, non-profit organization in many different facets of HR. Interns will be able to gain wide exposure to employee relations, data management and analysis, organizational policy strategy, benefits administration, audits, and other projects as they occur day to day in the department.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and filing personnel information
  • Collecting and analyzing HR Data Assistance with project management
  • Updating the HR Policy Site Developing and/or editing documents, updating various special human resources documents (presentations, spreadsheets and graphs, employee documents, draft messages, etc.)
  • Editing documents and/or formatting HR policies and procedures
  • Developing and/or editing HR forms
  • Miscellaneous clerical work (mailing, printing, database entry, etc.)
  • Work with the Talent Specialist to post job ads in various websites and job boards
  • Work with HR team to create recruitment tools
  • Ensure background and reference checks are completed
  • Assist with recruitment events and activities
  • Work with Talent Specialist to review resumes and finding potential candidates for open positions
  • Special projects for the HR Department as needed

Qualifications

Education

  • A junior, senior, or graduate student, majoring in human resources, business, or a related field

  • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive style and the ability to meet deadlines, both as instructed and self-imposed
