    Chemonics seeks a Forecasting and Supply Planning Associate in support of the Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project based in Arlington, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the health systems strengthening team to support the quantification of medicines and medical consumables across all task orders. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

    The USAID GHSC-PSM project improves the availability of health commodities and provides supply chain technical assistance. The project has three primary objectives 1) global commodity procurement and logistics, 2) systems strengthening technical assistance, and 3) global collaboration.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Contribute to data-driven management and evaluation of country planning performance
    • Document data quality and metrics to support country-level tracking and assessment of forecasting performance; support aggregation of planning analyses in Business Intelligence software such as Power BI and/or Cognos
    • Contribute project management and technical support to upgrading FASP tools, including support testing and rollout of new technologies
    • Support the reviews of in-country forecasting and supply planning in coordination with Technical Advisors and the program Global Supply Chain team to develop strategies aiming to increase efficiencies in commodities ordering and resupply requirements planning, through the utilization of tools and modeling techniques
    • Support Technical Advisors by providing technical assistance in strengthening country supply chain forecasting and supply planning. Such assistance typically includes but is not limited to: addressing staff capacity building needs, operational delivery of forecasts and procurement plans and assessing the accuracy of reports and ensuring that reporting and control mechanisms are in place
    • Assist in the administration of FASP teamwork
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in public health, sciences, supply chain, business administration, or a related field . Masters degree preferred

    • Minimum of 2 years experience in forecasting and supply planning or supply chain management

    • Experience in at least two of the five following health areas preferred: HIV/AIDS, family planning, malaria, zika, and maternal/child health

    • Experience working for USAID programs preferred

    • Experience in data analysis and garnering insights from data. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills strongly preferred
    • Experience with database management and business intelligence solutions, such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, strongly preferred
    • Experience with the management of information technology systems
    • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
    • Ability to travel and work abroad a minimum of 4-8 weeks per year; experience living or conducting volunteer work in developing countries preferred

    • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

    • Fluency in English required; fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese preferred
