JOB CONTEXT :

HI is implementing an intervention through local partners, with the aim to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable population, including persons with disabilities, by ensuring access to inclusive and quality services & livelihoods through a multi-sectoral response. The response includes inclusive humanitarian action, protection, physical and functional rehabilitation and MHPSS support, as well as access to food through cash-based transfers (vouchers).

An adaptation of the project activities has recently been adopted to adjust to the Covid-19 related movement restrictions and health prevention necessary measures.

YOUR MISSION:

Under the responsibility of the Operation Manager, and with the technical support of the Technical Referent at HQ, you will be in charge of:

  • Contribute to the implementation of the intervention strategy in the basic needs sector
  • Lead the needs identification and response plans in the areas of intervention
  • Manage the implementation of the emergency distributions of food activities, by defining the most relevant modalities (in-kind, cash or vouchers) and ensuring the achievement of HI’s targets and results
  • Recruit, train and manage the program teams in the basic needs sector
  • Build capacities and follow-up implementing partners for distribution
  • Ensure regular data collection, data analysis and indicators’ follow-up for the programs under your responsibility, within the framework of HI Project Monitoring & Evaluation framework
  • Manage the activity budget for the programs under your responsibility
  • Ensure the respect of HI’s safeguarding policies as well as financial, logistical and HR procedures by the program teams
  • Represent HI with local authorities, local partners and other humanitarian actors in the intervention areas, in coordination with the Operation Manager

YOUR PROFILE :

  • You hold a Degree in social sciences, Management School, Master in Project Management or equivalent professional experience…

  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in coordinating large distributions of cash assistance & at least 3 years’ experience in project design & management; You also know to manage a project remotely and how to work closely with local partners

  • You are experienced in working with highly vulnerable households (an experience with People with Disabilities would be an asset)

  • You have a good knowledge of protection mainstreaming principles, GBV and CP international guidelines

  • You know working independently and to take initiatives

  • You are patient, diplomatic and demonstrate interpersonal skills

  • You are fluent in Spanish + another language: English OR French

CONDITIONS:

  • Starting date : middle of August 2020

  • Length of the contract:** 8 months with possible extension of 3 months

  • Employee status:

  • Salary from 2214€ gross/month regarding the experience of the candidate

  • Perdiem : 384€ net/month

  • Hardship allowance : 250€ net/month

  • Insurances : medical hearth coverage, retirement planning, repatriation

  • Paid holiday : 25 days per year

  • R&R : 5 days every 3 months

  • Status : unaccompanied

  • Housing : collective taken in charge by HI
