QC has been maintaining active present in Somalia since 2007 through its field office in Mogadishu. It has a portfolio of programs focusing on both humanitarian and development sectors.
In partnership with WFP, Qatar Charity Somalia Program seeks to recruit field supervisor in Abdudwaaq, Xeraale and Balanbal.
Major Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the mobilizations and sensitization of the target population to the project objectives and scope.
- Ensure any feedback from beneficiaries or target communities are shared timely and that they are responded promptly.
- Ensure food commodities are properly stored in the allocated warehouse and distributed according to program guidelines.
- Ensure less last mile device is properly used during food distribution.
- Prepare food distribution plans and schedules on monthly basis for efficient distribution.
- Conduct regular trainings for field staff on proper food handling and distribution procedures.
- Supervise field staff in implementing food and cash distribution activities.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with WFP guidelines.
- Ensure beneficiary registration on SCOPE-system is accurate and up to date and errors are rectified immediately.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders such as local authorities and community leaders to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess project progress and address any challenges.
- Undertake any other assignments as per request.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, agriculture, International Relations, or related field.
- Previous work experience in FLS is required.
- Experience in CBT and in-kind food distribution is plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Humanitarian work specially collecting data at community level.
- Computer literacy
- Solid Excel skills.
- Reporting skills.
- Good in English and Arabic.
