COUNTRY COORDINATOR – MOZAMBIQUE

Local Coordination & Team Leadership
· Provide weekly feedback to the General Manager;
· Maintain frequent communication with Girl MOVE Directors, Head of Finance, and Head of Communication;
· Lead the weekly coordination meeting in Mozambique;
· Provide strategic, operational and management support to the local coordinators (co-management with the programme Directors);
· Responsible for the communication flow among all staff in Mozambique (programmes, logistics, finance)
· Support as needed in the selection of qualified support and program staff and recommend promotions, disciplinary action and termination of staff;
· Assist in the development and provision of orientations for newly arrived staff;
· Maintain open lines of communications with all Mozambique based staff;
· Provide leadership in taking a constructive team approach to solving problems;
· Responsible for and work to improve overall team atmosphere and team building relationships
· Ensure implementation of administrative and human resources policies and procedures;
Stakeholders Engagement & Relationship Management
· Acts as the liaison to local and national officials and other NGO officials in their area;
· Co-management of private stakeholders;
· Ensure accurate positioning of Girl Move Academy image and brand within Mozambique;
Operations Management
· Support the day-to-day running of the Nampula office and oversee all staff in Mozambique;
· Negotiation and closure of contracts with a wide range of different suppliers/stakeholders/partners;
· Ensure compliance to Mozambique labour laws;
PROFILE
REQUIREMENTS
· University degree in either Management, International Studies, Cooperation and/or Development studies, Sociology, or other related studies;
· Extensive project management experience in development programmes;
· Previous working experience in African countries;
· Minimum 3 years’ experience managing teams;
· Willingness/ availability to live 3 to 5 years in Nampula (Mozambique);
· Practical and extensive financial and administration management experience
· Experience in Institutional Representation with Governmental institutions, relevant networks, donor and partner meetings, towards media and other stakeholders whenever needed;
· Proven experience in implementing strategic decisions;
· Ability to manage donor´s relationship, including report writing;
· Excellent skills in written and spoken English;
· Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint is a must;
- Must be fluent in English and Portuguese (mandatory).

· Ability to relate to and motivate local staff effectively;
· Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources.
