A place to make a difference:

In this full-time, permanent* role, you’ll work as a part of our Technology Infrastructure team in Melbourne to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Cloud Platform Engineer plays a key role in delivering our vision of a better world for children by building strong, secure, and reliable systems that allow staff to focus on helping children thrive across Australia, the Pacific, and around the world.

You will make a difference by:

· Keeping our Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and GitHub environments reliable, secure, and running smoothly.

· Building resilient, automated cloud infrastructure that helps staff work without interruption.

· Strengthening identity, access, and data protection to keep our systems and people safe.

· Monitoring performance and resolving issues quickly to ensure high availability and great user experience.

· Partnering with Applications/Delivery, Data, and End‑User teams to land changes safely and consistently.

· Automating routine tasks and CI/CD workflows to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.

A place to feel valued:

Your deep expertise in Azure, Terraform/OpenTofu, automation, identity management, and cloud operations enables you to build secure, scalable, and resilient platforms that the whole organisation can rely on. With strong problem‑solving skills, clear documentation, and a collaborative approach, you deliver high‑quality technology services that make frontline work easier and more effective.

This role requires:

· 3–5+ years’ experience in cloud or platform engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.

· Strong Terraform/OpenTofu skills for building and maintaining infrastructure‑as‑code.

· Solid administration experience with Entra ID and Microsoft 365.

· Hands‑on experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions and secure workflows.

· Understanding of security best practices including zero trust and least privilege.

A place to belong:

We are diverse personalities, backgrounds and talents, embracing our differences as one strong and united team. We see and celebrate the unique value you bring to our organisation, and offer a range of rewards for your effort, including:

· Opportunity to work on additional projects to enable you to stretch and feel connected to programs in a different way.

· Individual learning plans to help map and deliver on your career development.

· Internal employment and development opportunities.

· A modern, up to date working space. Or the opportunity to work from home (WFH), or both!

· Kids are welcome! We understand the demands of working parents and we have safe, accessible spaces where our little people can relax while their mums or dads help other children and families.

· Support for workplace wellness, including access to our free, confidential Employee Wellbeing Program.

· Celebrate and feel supported in your diversity. We have a highly inclusive culture and diverse workforce reflecting the communities we serve, allowing you to bring your whole self to work (if that’s what you want!).
