Our client is looking for a qualified person to fill the position of Business Development Lead

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specifies potential territories and/or existing customers and key accounts (school, eateries, mini-marts)
  • Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders and commercial leadership to ensure team members have tools and facilitation to execute their routines as seamlessly and effortlessly as possible
  • Accomplished exceptional people manager, coach and mentor who cares about not only the best performance from the team but their individual development and growth.
  • Work with Sales Management to establish and execute a comprehensive sales plan for each target account. Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to customer. 
  • Monitor actions and results against plans
  • Directly manage the performance of market/route development reps taking action to recognize excellent performance and to improve poor performance.
  • Take great ownership in delivery of excellent customer service by leading the identification and mapping of customer needs in assigned Area and ensuring they are met towards customer satisfaction and retention, market expansion and revenue growth
  • Research on new growth opportunities and design incremental revenue channels while ensuring the best solution is deployed to markets, and track KPIs, results against plans.
  • Design and execute defined strategies that enhance leads generation, identification, and testing of new opportunities as well as viable income streams towards business expansion and growth.
  • Develop deep understanding of our services, portfolio and value proposition, and train this to our sales team through effective skill development plans
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager, Warehouse and Sourcing Head and other stakeholders to drive revenue and business growth while taking responsibility for the customer acquisition within the assigned area
  • Prepared Monthly performance reports, comparative reports, Trends analysis, Client Status
  • Reports and new clients, Sales projections; Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action.
  • Influence and drive product and SKU’s assortment and growth in profitability per route.
  • Drive route optimization, re-structuring, and mapping to ensure route efficiencies

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in business, science or related discipline.
  • 7 years related experience in commercial/ Sales role.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS
  • Outlook, and Internet)
  • Excellent understanding of business and Industry Trends and ability to interpret the trends
  • relevant to the business
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Must be self-directed and capable of prioritizing opportunities and performing multiple tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers
  • and clients
