Jhpiego, an Affiliate of Johns Hopkins University is a global leader in improving healthcare services for women and their families. In collaboration with some of her partners (Palladium, Wi-Her, Viamo, PharmAccess and many others), Jhpiego is implementing a USAID funded Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts called the Integrated Health Project (IHP), in Kebbi, Bauchi, Sokoto, Ebonyi and FCT to strengthen the states-, LGAs-, and ward-level health system as well as strengthen engagement with the state government. The objectives of the program are to (a) strengthen systems supporting primary health care services; (b) improve access to primary health care services; and, (c) increase quality of primary health care services. The goal of IHP is to contribute to state-level reductions in child and maternal morbidity and mortality and to increase the capacity of health systems (public and private) to sustainably support quality primary health care (PHC) services

Overview
Jhpiego invites applications from qualified Anaesthesiologist training consultants to organize and facilitate 6-8 batches of on-site 2-day trainings on safe anaesthesia component of CEmONC for doctors, midwives and nurse anaesthetists from selected Secondary hospitals in three IHP-supported states: Kebbi, Sokoto and Bauchi states. IHP is seeking 2 anaesthesiologist training consultants per State to conduct obstetric anaesthesia training in IHP selected general hospitals (GHs) in Bauchi (14 GHs), Kebbi (11 GHs) and Sokoto (11 GHs)
Type of Contract
This is a firm fixed price deliverable-based contract. The consultant is expected to satisfactorily accomplish each deliverable before being paid for the deliverable.
