We have conducted a variety of studies across multiple sectors.

    The Position

    We are currently seeking freelance consultants to join our Monitoring and Evaluation expert consultant pool. Our humanitarian department conducts a variety of M&E assignments in Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq, which include third party monitoring, needs assessments, and baseline/endline evaluations. These assignments cover a range of sectors, including but not limited to, WASH, protection, livelihoods, shelter, food security, NFIs, and agriculture.

    We are looking for consultants that have extensive experience in designing and conducting monitoring and evaluation projects. Specifically, individuals should have past experience in research design, inception and final report writing, drafting data collection tools, data analysis, and possess a robust understanding of data protection and confidentiality. Consultant will be expected to advise on the appropriate data collection methodology based on the project and the purpose, advantages and disadvantages of specific data collection techniques. Consultant may also be responsible for designing data collection tools, analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative) and writing inception and/or final reports.

    Expected Skills and Qualifications

    -A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, International Development, International Relations, Business, Public Policy, Human Development, Gender Studies, Agriculture, or a related field; An advanced degree is preferred.

    -Minimum of 7 years of applied experience with a humanitarian organization in designing, implementing, and overseeing monitoring and evaluation tasks.

    -Experience in research design, report writing, drafting data collection tools, data analysis, and data protection/confidentiality

    -Demonstrated experience in leading M&E for a large award, including developing and managing the M&E plan and strategy for such an award.

    -Past experience working in humanitarian and conflict-affected contexts

    -Experience in Syria highly preferred

    -Fluency in English; Other relevant languages (Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish) will be considered an asset.

    -Excellent quantitative data analysis skills including good command of statistics, sampling methodologies, and statistical analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, among others.
