About the program
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Food for Peace (FFP) is seeking applications for funding for development food security activities in Zimbabwe from 2020-2025. The proposed program will involve a multi-sectoral response to build resilience and address food insecurity and malnutrition in Zimbabwe, with focus on Matabeleland North.

Job Summary
The Ge nder, Youth and Social Dynamics Lead will provide technical advice, guidance, and support to a wide range of program design and implementation issues in line with CRS’ program quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices to advance the delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable. You will ensure that social dimensions of food security and community resilience are effectively addressed across all activity and at all levels throughout the project life cycle. You will pay attention to social dynamics, particularly gender and youth integration, which are critical to realizing the FFP intended outcomes. You will ensure that all activities are informed by a comprehensive understanding of gender, age, and other locally significant socio-cultural factors in the context of food security in Matabeleland North.

Education and Experience
* A Master’s degree in Social Science required.
* Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in an advisory or management role with progressive responsibilities, ideally with an international NGO, with minimum of three years working for programming interventions in gender, youth and social dynamics.
* In-depth understanding of youth, gender, age and locally significant socio-cultural factors in the context of food and nutrition security programming.
* Demonstrated application of technical principles and concepts in gender, youth and social dynamics. General knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure cross-sectoral approach.
* Demonstrated experience in leading participatory analytical processes and facilitating collaborative problem-solving
* Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation and training applying adult learning principles and practices.
* Experience with program monitoring and evaluation, including applying data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation.
* Experience and skills in networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based and civil society partners.
* Experience working with stakeholders at various levels and strengthening community partnerships.
* Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks.

Required/Desired Foreign Language:English; Knowledge of Ndebele an advantage
Travel Required:Ability to travel for up to 50% of time.
