    TERMS

The successful applicant must be prepared to live and work in very basic conditions with limited access to electricity, running water and wifi.

Every intern has to cover their own costs for flights, vaccinations and visa. Once in country there is a fixed daily cost covering accommodation and any work-related travel, ranging between 8€ and 11€, depending on the respective project. A more detailed breakdown of costs and expenses will be provided for those applicants selected for an interview.

We ask all our international interns to fundraise 1200€.

Fundraising is an important part of working in the international developmental sector. We see it as an important experience and part of the internship that a Street Child International Intern gets to see and experience this side of daily work in an NGO.

Our projects are only possible because of the money we fundraise. Asking for a fundraising commitment has proven to be a great way to both make sure that an intern’s time in country leaves a lasting impact and grows awareness of the problems Street Child is working hard to address. Every successful applicant will work together with one of our experienced fundraising mentors, who will provide all the information and material necessary to reach the fundraising goal as well as accompany and support the intern throughout every step in the fundraising process, while giving valuable insights!
