Resource Planning & Administration Sr. Associate or Associate
The Finance Department (FIN) is responsible for the mobilization and administration of the Bank’s financial resources, both the assets and liabilities of the organization, including debt and non-debt funds, the management of the Bank’s liquidity, the accounting and financial records of its operations, and the administration of its relations with financial markets and intermediaries.
The team’s mission: Within our department, the Business Performance Group (BPG) oversees FIN strategy formulation and deployment and is responsible for department-wide business performance functions including the department’s budget, human capital, communications, shared services center and quality assurance for and with the CFO.
We are looking for a dedicated, upbeat and collaborative individual to join our team and work in a multi-faceted role as Resource Planning & Administration (RPA) Sr Associate or Associate. The successful candidate will report to the Principal Technical Leader who leads the nine-person business performance group.
What you’ll do: Financial Management
- Participate in the planning, projection, execution and supervision of FIN administrative budget. Conduct research and analysis and provide recommendations to FIN management team on budget status.
- Provide input and coordinate the review of FIN’s annual Budget and associated business plan, in accordance with results-based budgeting (RBB) framework.
- Provide financial forecasts and contingency plans for accurately managing budgets and contracts in a dynamic landscape; ensure FIN programs, including training and travel, are within budgetary limits and in compliance with procurement and financial policies and guidelines.
Strategy Management
- Manage key performance indicator data collection and analysis using web-based dashboards.
- Actively promote a culture of engagement and positive work environment by strengthening collaboration and teamwork, team-building and social events, and other initiatives.
- Administer our employee engagement and employee recognition tools and provide timely analysis of usage, strengths and weaknesses.
Human Resource Management
- Serve as HR focal point, demonstrating good understanding of HR policies and the ability to advise management and staff on HR related issues and practices.

- Request HRD personnel actions related to contract renewals, promotions, transfers and terminations through ServiceNow.
- Ensure compliance with process and procedure guidelines of personnel actions such as staff recruitment and selection processes, for staff as well as for complementary workforce.
- Participate in development and implementation of FIN’s human resource and training plans.
- Work in close collaboration with HR Business Partners to coordinate the execution of FIN’s annual performance review and talent review exercises, ensuring compliance of the process within established deadlines.
Office Administration Management
- Provide day-to-day oversight, including procedural and task guidance, to personnel working in FIN administrative pool. With assistance from administrative pool resources
- Plan and coordinate space requirements and improvements.
- Coordinate arrangements and logistics for retreats, meetings, conferences and other events within the department.
- Lead the processing of FIN’s administrative payments, including authorization, as required.
- Monitor the compliance of time reporting and travel expenses.
- Oversee the execution of FIN’s annual travel plan.
Qualifications
Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
Education: You hold a Master’s Degree (or equivalent education) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
Experience: You have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, with at least two years of experience in the management of budgets and financial analysis. You are proficient in the use of Excel, Word and other MS Office products. Knowledge of related Bank policies, procedures and systems, such as Hyperion, SAP, and ServiceNow would be an advantage.
Languages: You are fluent in English and Spanish. Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is desirable.
