Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the M&E Analyst, s/he will carry out inter alia the following tasks.

  • Provide technical support to build, develop and maintain database, reporting systems, data automation systems, and dashboards to facilitate information collection and recording;
  • Produce various information products as required for programme, M&E and communication units. E.g. maps, data visualization and infographics…etc;
  • Support the preparation of Annual work plans, proposals, logframes and regular reports;
  • Support the submission of regular updates to the Deputy Representative/Representative and POS on overall progress vis-à-vis planned activities and expected outputs in respect of designated projects;
  • Working in close collaboration with the Communications Officer, to provide quantitative/qualitative figures to support visibility and communication activities;
  • Provide technical support to UNFPA Implementing Partners regarding data collection and reporting;
  • Assist in the quarterly progress report and quarterly monitoring in the strategic information system as well as Strategic framework reporting by providing the required data as needed;
  • Ensure the capacity of staff and partners in relation to Information management is improved, and knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO is facilitated;
  • Any other related tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Education and Experience:

  • university degree in computer science, information technology, data management, economics, statistics or any relevant field with 2 years of relevant experience in information management in a humanitarian project or the UN system.Experience in data bases, visualization and infographic.
  • or high school degree with 4 years of relevant experience in information management in a humanitarian project or the UN system.Experience in data bases, visualization and infographic

Language Requirements : Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic mother tongue.

Computer :Experience of Microsoft office program is required
