    The Program

    The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs in sectors including health, education, Australia Awards and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards and education programs in Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability inclusion, climate change, emergency preparedness and response and civil society engagement across sectoral programs.

    The Position

    The Fijian Government has provided support to pilot and develop a whole of Government Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) with the planned eventual integration with payroll in 2020. The HR data cleansing and implementation of the HR modules is progressing well, initial planning for links with payroll has begun and Government is now ready to begin this implementation and transition.

    Coffey, the managing contractor, is now recruiting a qualified specialist with a sound understanding of the links between Human Resources and Payroll and well-developed skills in the use of technology for the accountable joining of Human Resources Contracting and Payroll management. The input will progress the work already begun, working with key ministry staff and other technical advisers to ensure the HRMIS maintains accountable links to the payroll.

    The Adviser/Specialist will support the Ministry of Civil Service in an effective and smooth transformation for civil servants during the full implementation of the HRMIS and the scoping of payroll integration.

    The Person

    The ideal candidate will have University qualifications and senior experience in HRMIS implementation, preferably, in the implementation of HR and pay systems in a large, complex organisation. Combined with a contemporary understanding of the interface between HRMIS and payroll, significant experience in change management, risk management and delivering service delivery standards, you will demonstrate experience leading and motivating others to ensure timely delivery of services.

    Importantly, you will display proven leadership, strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to quickly build and maintain strong relationships with people from varying backgrounds and levels.
