About the role
Trust is looking to expand its pool of local and international trainers & capacity building consultants across the full range of humanitarian, development fields, including WASH, protection (gender-based violence, psychosocial support, child protection), health, education, NFIs, cash-based responses, livelihood, shelter, capacity building, vocational training, and agriculture. In addition, HR, finance, logistics and procurement safety and security, strategic planning and others.
For the time being, there is an urgent need for trainers and consultants in the following areas:
1- Proposal writing:
a. Proposal writing, general
b. Proposal writing with specific reference to USAID proposal
c. Proposal writing with specific reference to DFID proposal
d. Proposal writing with specific reference to ECHO/EU proposal
2- Grants management:
a. Grants management, general
b. Grants management with specific reference to USAID grants
c. Grants management with specific reference to DFID grants
d. Grants management with specific reference to ECHO/EU grants
3- Program management
4- Fundraising
5- Building M&E systems/ assessing M&E systems
6- Partnership management with specific reference to a partnership between international and local NGOs/ humanitarian and development sector
7- Entrepreneurship
8- Social responsibility of businesses in the humanitarian sector
Potential capacity building consultants and trainers in our pool will be contacted at the proposal stage of a project to gauge their interest and available time commitment. At this stage, we will discuss with the consultant their and Trust’s roles in the project in more detail.
The Technical Consultant should:
1- Hold a university degree, preferably Masters level or higher, in a relevant field
2- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the field of expertise, preferably in the MENA region
3- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders and to express concisely and clearly ideas and concepts
4- Have excellent participatory and interactive skills
5- Fluent/native English speaker, Arabic/ Turkish/ Kurdish/ French are advantages
