    Manchester based, with regular travel overseas.

    The starting salary package for this position is £43,428 GBP, plus contributory pension.

    About the role:

In response, MAG is looking for an exceptional Gender and Inclusion Advisor to strengthen it’s in house capacity to develop and implement a global gender and inclusion strategy and framework, and seamlessly integrate relevant deliverables in our projects, programmes and business plan. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic international charity that shared the 1997 Nobel Peace-Prize.

    About you:

    The successful candidate will have substantial experience in mainstreaming gender and inclusion into existing projects in both humanitarian and developing contexts, and a strong and up-to-date knowledge of gender, power relations, women’s rights, and the relationship between conflict and gender-based violence. Project management, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic planning skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time are essential. This is a fast-paced and challenging role, which will require high levels of initiative, pro-activeness and strong multi-tasking skills. With an ability to influence, motivate and develop colleagues and external stakeholder and ensuring effective communication, you will be organised, flexible and solution-focused.

    The role will be based in central Manchester and will involve overseas travel to our country programmes in South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa possibly at short notice.
