ACTED HQ

In ACTED HQ, more than 80 staff are dedicated to the operational support of projects implemented in our countries of intervention. ACTED adopts a zero tolerance approach towards corruption, terrorism and money laundering and is committed to respecting the highest standards in terms of efficiency, responsibility and transparency in its activities. To this end, ACTED s Anti-fraud, Bribery and Corruption Policy and procedures:
Encourages prevention;
Promotes detection;
Sets out a clear investigation procedure;
Sets out a mechanism of sanctions.
In a constant concern to improve its practices and adapt to the challenges of its operating contexts, it has been decided to open a dedicated Investigation Unit within the Transparency, Compliance and Audit department.

You will be in charge of

Under the supervision of the Investigation Manager:

Ensure the reception and centralization of the databases for each department and mission of ACTED. Make the link with the relevant departements in HQ and field teams to obtain the databases. Upload the databases in the background screening software in the correct format. Review the first level of hit by ensuring that the results are coherent with the matching rules / identify potential error with the system. Report the mistakes and/or escalate the hit to the Investigation Manager for review. Perform ad-hoc search in the background screening software upon request of the Investigation Manager. Report the errors in the software to the Audit Direction during the implementation phase of the tool. Monthly reporting (called anti-terrorism TITANIC in ACTED) from ACTED countries to HQ to be implemented. Monthly report to the Investigation Manager including analysis of the monthly field reporting tool ( TITANIC ) and implementation of the background screening software. Conduct initial investigations of potential hits by collecting supporting documents from the relevant departments and analyzing information relating to sanctioned individuals and entities. Keep abreast of relevant anti-terrorism related legislation, sanctions and donor requirements updates by providing monthly summaries of new sanctions applied (inter)nationally and new donor anti-terrorism requirements.Expected skills and qualifications

Education:
Advanced university degree in Compliance, Investigations, Law, Criminology, Audit, Accounting, Operations/supply chain or other related fields, or a first level degree with additional years of experience.

Experience:
Experience in working with background or sanctions screening software is an asset.

Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office technology, with strong Excel data analysis skills.
Outstanding personal and professional integrity.
Results oriented, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Quick learner, highly flexible and adaptive.
Strong communication skills, particularly in cross-cultural environments
Knowledge of the FinScan Software is a strong asset
Proven ability to research and check information
Experience of maintaining computer based records efficiently
Ability to undertake analysis and evaluation of information
It Is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
Demonstrate a knowledge of vetting procedures
Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information

Language:
Fluency in English language.
Good knowledge of French.
Knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset

Conditions

Salary between 1600 or 1700 euros net per month. It is defined by the ACTED salary grid depending on education level, expertise, security level and experience.
Medical insurance, food vouchers (tickets restaurant) and 50% coverage of transportation costs.
