The fundraising operation’s primary focus is to raise income for the Thai programme and other operations around the world. The key strategy to do this is by recruiting pledge donors (monthly financial supporters) and supporting the retention and partnerships team.

The main function of the post is to boost digital acquisition and retention through digital channels, in order to increase UNICEF income in Thailand and diversify its sources of income. To achieve these results, the professional will assist with the development of the Digital Fundraising strategy and will be in charge of implementation, covering the full spectrum of digital marketing. The position will be under the general supervision of the Head of Acquisition with technical guidance from the Digital team in PFP Geneva and will work in close collaboration with other units in PSFR and TCO communications team.

Major Responsibilities

In close collaboration across different units in PSFR and Communications, develop the digital fundraising plan corresponding with the office’s Private Sector Plan and annual workplan.

  • Understand digital opportunities and challenges in the market including analyzing digital fundraising market trends and main competitors.
  • Develop and propose the digital fundraising strategy in line with the Private Sector Plan (to recruit, engage and retain donors).
  • Develop digital annual workplans which ensure the strategy is implemented and delivers the expected results.
  • Work and manage digital agencies and providers to deliver KPI’s related to the digital strategy and annual workplan.

DIGITAL STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION Implement digital fundraising strategy and initiatives, including acquisition (pledge, leads, one-offs) and donor retention campaigns to deliver fundraising KPI’s across all digital channels.

DIGITAL TEAMS COORDINATION Develop digital approach to coordinate and synergize the different fundraising digital efforts (UNICEF teams, suppliers, agencies).

REPORTING Create dashboards and metrics to follow up on Digital Performance Measurement and find the proper tools to implement.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES Implement all the required technological solutions to support the digital fundraising strategy while guaranteeing its compliance with the legal requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & INNOVATION Provide up-to-date analysis of digital fundraising best practices, opportunities and trends and innovation, from UNICEF network and external organizations.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

  • Advanced university degree in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Communication or other relevant disciplines such as Data Science. **University degree in relevant field and 2 years of direct working experience may be considered in lieu of advanced university degree.
  • A minimum of one year of progressively responsible direct professional work experience in marketing or fundraising areas, with specific focus on the following marketing areas is required: social media, web development, CRM, search marketing, integrated media planning, analytics, and marketing communications.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing campaign management processes as well as in following technical areas : specific digital media knowledge, proficiency in the use of search engine algorithms, promotion, content management systems, e-mail broadcasting tools, coding and analytics packages. Experience in marketing automation tools and SEO is also relevant. HTML experience is recommended.
  • Thai Nationals only.
  • High fluency in Thai and English is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic short, and long-term plan of action, with clear audience, targets, and activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work multi-sectorally, to develop plans that require the involvement of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent online communications, writing skills, good listening skills, multi-tasking skills, ability to work individually are common skills expected of a programme manager for the Volunteer Engagement Platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while consistently meeting deadlines is essential.
  • Proven ability to work independently, generate pragmatic solutions to address potential road blocks as well as leverage key opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious working relationships.
  • Must be a creative thinker with ability to proactively develop new ideas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Meeting UNICEF’s core values and competency areas such as integrity and respect for others.
