Job Purpose
The Associate Project Analyst assists in coordinating CWRD’s operational activities; consolidates country and sector information across the divisions and resident missions (RMs); ensures completeness of CWRD programs and pipeline data in all internal reporting mechanism/instruments as well as bank-wide reports; and performs a range of well-defined routine duties as may be assigned. The incumbent reports to designated International staff and senior National Staff in CWOD-PSG.
Responsibilities
- Assists in organizing regular CWRD programming and project pipeline meetings (i.e. bi-monthly and quarterly; sectoral, country- and department-wide), including assisting and tracking Resident Missions and sector divisions in preparing for Reverse Clock and Work Program and Budget Framework submissions, and sourcing pipeline data from relevant databases, Collects, organizes and analyzes data from Operations Dashboard (ODB) and eOperations on CWRD loan, grant, and co-financing pipeline; and assists in reviewing and monitoring status of pipeline processing, in close coordination with project processing focal points in divisions/RMs.
- Assists in quality assurance of Country Operations Business Plans COBPs, concept papers, Board papers and Report and Recommendation of the President RRPs.
- Assists in reviewing and monitoring achievement of annual commitment, climate change and gender targets; and assists in tracking collaboration and initiative targets.
- Serves as focal point for CWRD in managing Board and Management approval schedules by liaising between CWRD sector divisions/RMs and ADB Management offices, specifically Office of the President (OPR), Office of the Vice-President (Operations 1) (VPO1) and Office of the Secretary (SEC); processes all requests for management review meetings (MRM) and assists in guiding processing teams on Board discussions/no-objection procedures.
- Assists in preparing Operations Review Meetings ORM reports for Management; briefing notes and pipeline data for Regional Management Team RMT meetings; and ad-hoc reports. Reviews bank-wide reports related to operational matters.
- Maintains repositories for CWRD project processing documents; and prepares historical, current and projected analytical data related to pipeline and committed projects.
- Coordinates logistical arrangements of workshops or training, as needed.

Qualifications
Relevant Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Good understanding of the role and function of a department’s front office and a general understanding of the organization’s purpose
- Proven ability to undertake background research and analysis on difficult but well-defined task, collect and organize required data and information.
- Good experience in managing document records and maintaining databases
- Ability to manage priorities and workload with general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices.
- Good coordination and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise and work effectively with individuals from different professional and cultural background.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams in sector divisions and resident missions.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Flexibility/willingness to perform variety of tasks and expand the scope of work and responsibilities as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.
